Couldn’t help but laugh seeing the History Channel now buying PPC ads after the fact of their great special that I blogged about on Life After People and also my thoughts on Life After People (not to mention creating the pages all after they ran the ads on TV).
Too little, too late, perhaps?

I ran across a blog called “Journalism by Other Means” talking about The New Hegemony, a response via the New York Times article. I strongly suggest reading the full 8-page article (I know, that’s a lot of clicks and time) called Waving Good-bye to Hegemony. Part of the article definitely goes into my previous post on the Rise of Chinese Style Democracy, but I wanted to note some areas of disagreement on a wonderful article that makes me happy to see some journalists really caring about the US/international affairs contrary to this past 8 years (all after the jump…) (more…)

The Moderate Voice has a must read interview about David Frum’s thoughts on how Conservatives will have to change towards the future in order to make a comeback into American politics. Though canned questions, still interesting nonetheless particularly about the avoidance of the greenscreen, which is not a bad idea in many cases as the focuses is then less on acting which can really get people involved into a movie.

You have a very well-known SEO person, Danny Sullivan of Search Engine Land claiming that it’s the first birthday of the “Google Bomb Fix“. Now, you could call that bad/false advertising by Danny Sullivan or a post that should specifically note that Google fixed the “miserable failure bomb” manually, but nonetheless, I just wanted to point out how even a ‘well-respected’ person within the industry still makes anecdotal claims based purely upon… well, anything but actual facts.
The perfect example that disproves the ‘fix’ on Google Bombing is after the jump… (more…)

I ran across more info on SyFy Portal about the newest Star Trek movie coming out. Turns out that the viral site does show up the forth picture but only for one second of the interior of the original Enterprise so I likely missed that, but to make life easier, here’s the picture after the jump…:

In the off-chance that one has yet to watch History Channel’s Life After People yet, please note that below will have spoilers on the show and my thoughts on it as well.
