I agree to Demerzel:

This is not only going with the Baidu alone, But many search engines in the developing countries are almost copying the things from Google (80) percent, and from Yahoo, Aol, Alta Vista, Crawler, etc. Baidu carries lots of crap as well, when it comes to searches, however, It looks like, Chinese innovations, will really turn and go beyond the inventions, when the country is more developed, more people are educated, there is a freedom of speech, and freedom to indicate.

Lets hope for the best!

It's not just Baidu in my opinion, there are many Chinese companies ripping off products from non-Chinese companies; but that's part of the game for developing nations, always has been in the past. The question is whether Chinese innovation will turn into Chinese inventions when the country fully develops.

Baidu simply ripes every idea, feature, and product off of Google. One simple example: if you go onto The Way Back Machine's website and look at how Baidu's homepage evolved over the years, you'll notice what a copy cat Baidu is. I have used both Google and Baidu and I find Google get the information I want and Baidu just returns crap (or in case of image search, semi-pornographic material).
